Make a plan to stay fit and social this fall by joining the Texas Stallions Track Club Cross Country Team. This is an ideal sport for kids 6 – 18 who aren’t able to participate in organized school sports. Practices are under way and are held three times per week in the Spring, Klein & Tomball areas with meets starting next month in the Houston Metropolitan area. Training is provided by adult volunteers and USA Track and Field certified coaches. Registration is ongoing until September 30, 2012. The Texas Stallions Track Club offers year round youth athletics including outdoor track and field, indoor track and field and cross-country. The 1st Texas Stallions Relays Saturday, April 28 at Concordia Lutheran High School Stadium in Tomball.
Tomball, Texas — Calling all track and field enthusiasts and youth runners, jumpers & throwers, you are invited to attend. The Texas Stallions Track Club will host its 1st Annual Texas Stallions Relays featuring youth 6 – 18 across the Gulf. The meet will feature 7 exciting relays, 4 individual running events and 4 field events. Individual events include the 200 & 400 Meter Dash, 800 & 1500 Meter Run, 1500 & 3000 Meter Race Walk, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, and Discus. Relay events include the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 800, Sprint and Distance Medleys. Custom awards will be given to the top six participants in each event as well as the top three overall teams.
The 2012 1st Texas Stallions Relays is set to take place April 28 at Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball. The first event will begin on Saturday, April 28 at 8:00 a.m. with the start of the 9-10 year old boys and girls 4 x 800 meter relay. Those races are followed by the rest of the days running events on a rolling schedule as follows:

Stallions end Season on High Note

Lavoxkeia Jumps a Personal Best for a spot on the podium
Spring, TX, August 14, 2011. The Texas Stallions Track Club competed this past week in the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics in New Orleans, Louisiana. Twenty-Four boys and girls from the Stallions stable took part in the event representing Spring, Klein, Tomball, The Woodlands, and Conroe.
Medals were awarded to the top-eight finishers in each event by age group. Among the hundreds Junior Olympic Medalist, the Gulf District Bantam Girls Long Jump Silver Medalist, Lavoxkeia Carnes snagged a medal for her 5th place finish in the Bantam Girls Long Jump with a personal record of 13’7.75 inches. She is the reigning Champion of the Bantam Girls Gulf District and West Texas National Qualifier in the 100m and 400m Dash. “I am so proud of her” said Head Jumps Coach Amesha Forward, “I knew she had it in her!”
Although she did not make it to the podium, at the Junior Olympics the Krimmel
Intermediate Triple Jump Record Holder and Gulf District Silver Medalist , Tre’Neice Elder just missed medaling by inches, finishing 13th in the Sub-Youth Girls Triple Jump with a season best jump of 31’9.5”.
The Stallions also ended the season with two athletes on the Elite Youth All-American Honor Roll, Lavoxkeia Carnes in the Long Jump and 400m and Devauncia “Dee Dee” Frank in the Bantam Girls 1500 Meter Race Walk. Dee Dee is the Gulf District’s Bronze medalist in the Bantam Girls Shot Put and 1500 Race Walk. The two ladies were also part of a Trio which included Gabrielle “Gabby” Jenkin that captured the Bantam Girls Age Division Championship
at the Louisiana Governor Games in June, Where Dee Dee and Lavoxkeia medaled in two events and Gabby won the Bantam Girls 800m Run in a what was a very exciting race.

Spring, TX – (August 7, 2011) Directors of the Texas Stallions Track Club announced plans for its 2011 Cross Country Season, which will kick-off on August 29 in training for the 2011 USATF Gulf Association Cross Country Championship in November.
“This is the Stallions first time venturing into cross country”, said Coach Lavoxkeia Carnes, “but we hope to continue to educate our youth on the importance of fitness and how running can help them achieve their goals”.
Registration is now open for Texas Stallions Track Club Fall Running Program and can be completed online at www.texasstallions.org. The Stallions Cross Country program is targeted toward youth ages 6 – 11, but open to youth up to age 18. For more information, call (832) 415-0568. Registration ends on October 10, 2011 and is limited to 50 participants, so register early!
Join us and go running with your friends. This team running program is aimed at getting kids outside and into a healthy environment, with practices two-three times a week and two meets per month on Sunday afternoons. Distances will be appropriate for the age of the runner.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis, and all age divisions have limited space. The registration deadline is September 19. Late registrations may be accepted until October 6, 2011 based on availability. The Club cannot guarantee entry into program for registrations received after the deadline. The Club is also seeking volunteer coaches for its Youth Cross Country and Track and Field Programs. The Texas Stallions Track Club certifies all coaches through the USA Track and Field Association.
