Youth Invited To Participate In the Youth Track Meet by carnesconsulting

Spring, Texas – The 2nd Annual Texas Stallions Relays will bring hundreds of area athletes, ages 5-18, together to compete for fun and glory during the 2013 2nd Annual Texas Stallions Relays. The youth developmental meet scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2013 is part of a series of developmental meets sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Gulf Association preparing youth for the AAU Area 19 National Qualifier meet to the AAU Junior Olympics. The competition will run from 8:00 a.m. until conclusion at Klein Collins High School, 20811 Ella Boulevard, Spring, Texas 77388. Registration is available before the event begins on the day of the competition, gates open at 7am.

The event gives young athletes the opportunity to compete & have fun with their friends while they develop exercise habits that will benefit their health & wellness for their entire lives. The national Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympic Games are the largest youth sports program of its kind in North America, with hundreds of thousands of children competing every year.

The Texas Stallions Track Club Texas Stallions Relays youth track meet will include: the 100 200, 400-meter dash; 800, & 1500, 3000-meter run; 1500 meter Race Walk; 4 x 100, 4 x400, 4×800-meter relay, long jump, high jump, shot put & turbo javelin. Awards will be given for First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth place winners in the boys and girls nine age divisions.

Entry fees are $5 per person. Entries on meet day will be accepted beginning at 7am at the event site, Klein Collins High School, 20811 Ella Boulevard, Spring, Texas 77388.

Texas Stallions Relays April 28, 2012Tomball, Texas — Calling all track and field enthusiasts and youth runners, jumpers & throwers, you are invited to attend. The Texas Stallions Track Club will host its 1st Annual Texas Stallions Relays featuring youth 6 – 18 across the Gulf. The meet will feature 7 exciting relays, 4 individual running events and 4 field events. Individual events include the 200 & 400 Meter Dash, 800 & 1500 Meter Run, 1500 & 3000 Meter Race Walk, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, and Discus. Relay events include the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 800, Sprint and Distance Medleys.  Custom awards will be given to the top six participants in each event as well as the top three overall teams.

The 2012 1st Texas Stallions Relays is set to take place April 28 at Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball. The first event will begin on Saturday, April 28 at 8:00 a.m. with the start of the 9-10 year old boys and girls 4 x 800 meter relay. Those races are followed by the rest of the days running events on a rolling schedule as follows:

  • 4 x 800 meter relay – 11-12 year old boys and girls
  • 13-14 year old boys and girls Distance Medley Relay (12,4,8,16)
  • 15-16 year old boys and girls Distance Medley Relay (12,4,8,16)

Stallions Getting into the Swing of Things by Texas Stallions
Spring, TX, Sunday, April 24, 2011. The Texas Stallions were involved in their first meets of the Season—the Primary Championships, Visions, and Houston Heat track meets this month. Though the Stallions season is starting later than most, their start shows a lot of promise for the coming months.

 The Stallions opened up the Season with the Primary Championships with one of its returning members Nzinga Williams and a new member but already and experienced runner at 8 years of age, Lauren Robertson, taking away Top 3 finishes in all of their events. Nzinga took the Gold in the 100m, the silver in the Long Jump and a Bronze in the 400m. While Lauren took the Gold in the 400m, the Bronze in the 100m, and  silver in the 200m. Even our newest Primary Lady Stallion came away with a 5th place finish in the 400m, Miss Taejha Badal.

In our second meet of the season, we attended the 2011 Annual Visions Track Club Track and Field Meet, where the Midget Boys 4 x 800 meter relay (Martinez, Joseph, Robertson, Troy, Hinote, John, and Goodman, Gabe) showed promise on their 1st outing bringing home a 3rd place finish.  The good times continued to roll for the guys as Troy Robertson won the Midget Boys 200m, Jacob Martinez won the Sub-Youth boys 1500m and Long Jump, and Oliver Scheerhorn won the Sub-Midget Boys Shot Put. Joseph Wiltz finished second in the Sub-Youth Boys Shot Put and Gabe Goodman finished 2nd in the Sub-Midget Boys 1500m their 1st time out, and returning runner Brendan Hurley finished 3rd in the 1500m. Our fourth place finishers were Troy Robertson Midget Boys 400m, and Joseph Martinez Sub-Midget Boys 1500m. Our fifth place finishers were Jacob Martinez in the Sub-Youth Boys 400m, and John Hinote in the Sub-Midget Boys 400m. Rounding out the top finishers are Joshua Martinez in the Sub-Midget Boys 1500m and Brendan Hurley in the Sub-Midget Boys 800m with 6th place finishes.

But that’s not all the Lady Stallions had to have their spotlight, with Lavoxkeia Carnes, winning the Bantam Girls 400m and Long Jump. Morgan Wiltz is continuing her success in the Sub-Midget 1500 Race Walk with a 2nd place finish. With 3rd place finishes are Morgan in the Sub-Midget Shot Put, Lauren Robertson in the Primary 400m, and Lavoxkeia in the Bantam 100m. Nzinga Willims finished 4th in Primary 100m, while Lauren in the Primary 100m and Taylor Jones in the Sub-Youth 1500m Run both finished 6th.

On yesterday the Stallions took the competition to USATF, with their participation at the JP Houston Heat Track Team On-Fire Track Meet. The 6 Finishers were:

 1st Place:

  • Lavoxkeia Carnes, Bantam Girls, 100m, 400m, Long Jump 

2nd Place:

  • Devauncia Frank, Bantam Girls, Shot Put 

3rd Place:

  • Devauncia Frank, Bantam Girls, Race Walk
  • Taylor Jones, Youth Girls, 3000m 

4th Place:

  • Morgan Wiltz, Midget Girls, Race Walk
  • Gabriel Goodman, Midget Boys, 3000m 

5th Place:

  • Troy Robertson, Midget Boys 100m

6th Place:

  • Morgan Wiltz, Midget Girls, Shot Put
  • Joseph Wiltz, Youth Boys, Shot Put

Spring, TX, June 9, 2010. The Texas Stallions Track Club hit the road this past weekend to participate in the 19th edition of the Louisiana Governor’s Games, sponsored by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports which sponsors the event, aims to expand sports and fitness programs to encourage healthy behavior for Louisiana youth.

The Stallions and forty-five other teams with more than 1,500 youth athletes competed in the youth track and field meet at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium. Children ages 4 to 18 years came from Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas to participate in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) sanctioned event hosted by Crescent City Track Club.

Seven boys and nine girls from the Stallions stable took part in events that were held by age groups: PeeWee (6 & under) Primary (7-8), Sub-Bantam (9), Bantam (10), Sub-Midget (11), Midget (12), Sub-Youth (13), Youth (14), Intermediate (15-16), and Young Men/Women (17-18). For the first time in its 19 year history the Governor Games presented Team Awards to the Boys and Girls teams with the most points. The Stallions Girls Team placed 11th earning 83 points with the throwers leading the way.

Custom medals of Gold, Silver and Bronze were awarded to the top-three finishers in each event by age group and points were awarded for the top eight toward the boys and girls team awards. The top-eight finishers were:

PeeWee:

  • Alyssa Cummings – 8th Place 200m 

Primary:

  • Ahmad Cummings – 6th Place Shot Put
  • Connor Franklin – 5th Place Shot Put and 8th Place 800m
  • Nzinga Williams – 6th Place Long Jump

Sub-Bantam:

  • Devauncia Franks – 1st Place 1500m Race Walk and 1st Place Shot Put
  • Lavoxkeia Carnes -  2nd Place 200m and 3rd Place 400m

Bantam:

  • Morgan Wiltz – 1st Place Shot Put and 2nd Place 1500m Race Walk

Sub-Midget:

  • JaDarious White – 3rd Place 100m and 7th Place 200m

Midget:

  • Alyssa Honora – 6th Place 100m

Youth:

  • Brittany Collins – 6th Place 800m and 7th Place 400m

Intermediate:

  • Kaitlin Kirkwood – 1st Place Discus and 1st Place Shot Put
  • Michael Briant – 6th 110 Hurdles

“This was the Stallions first time participating in the event, and I am so pleased with their performance” said Head Coach Paul Durisseau, “and I am so grateful for our throws coaches James Carnes and Brad Franklin who have done a wonderful job with our throwers all of which are first-timers”. The Stallions can be seen next Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the AAU Sanctioned event held by the Sonics Track Club. The meet will be held at Klein Collins Stadium, 20811 Ella Boulevard, Spring, Texas 77388 at 8:30 am.

A youth Track and Field Club, the Texas Stallions are based in Spring Texas with athletes from Spring, Klein, Conroe, Houston, schools districts and the surrounding North Houston area. Practices are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at Klein Collins High School. Parent Meeting Announcement by Texas Stallions

Dear Texas Stallions Parents and Prospective Parents,

The Texas Stallions Track Club will be having a Parent and General Meeting on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 6:30pm at Denny’s Restaurant (Meeting Room) located at 6504 FM 2920, SPRING, TX 77379.

It is very important that you attend if your athlete is already registered or plans to register with our club this season. We will discuss important information pertaining to the season and provide you the opportunity to have any questions you may have answered.

Our regular registration period ends on March 15, 2010. Paying your deposit prior to March 15, 2010 locks in your rate. Late registration is $150 and begins on March 16, 2010.
