<p>Spring, TX, August 14, 2011<strong>.</strong> The Texas Stallions Track Club competed this past week in the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Twenty-Four boys and girls from the Stallions stable took part in the event representing Spring, Klein, Tomball, The Woodlands, and Conroe.</p>
<p>Medals were awarded to the top-eight finishers in each event by age group.  Among the hundreds Junior Olympic Medalist, the Gulf District Bantam Girls Long Jump Silver Medalist, Lavoxkeia Carnes snagged a medal for her 5<sup>th</sup> place finish in the Bantam Girls Long Jump with a personal record of 13’7.75 inches. She is the reigning Champion of the Bantam Girls Gulf District and West Texas National Qualifier in the 100m and 400m Dash. “I am so proud of her” said Head Jumps Coach Amesha Forward, “I knew she had it in her!”</p>

<p>Intermediate Triple Jump Record Holder and Gulf District Silver Medalist , Tre’Neice Elder just missed medaling by inches, finishing 13<sup>th</sup> in the Sub-Youth Girls Triple Jump with a season best jump of 31’9.5”.</p>
<p>The Stallions also ended the season with two athletes on the Elite Youth All-American Honor Roll, Lavoxkeia Carnes in the Long Jump and 400m and Devauncia “Dee Dee” Frank in the Bantam Girls 1500 Meter Race Walk. Dee Dee is the Gulf District’s Bronze medalist in the Bantam Girls Shot Put and 1500 Race Walk. The two ladies were also part of a Trio which included Gabrielle “Gabby” Jenkin that captured the Bantam Girls Age Division Championship</p>

<p>at the Louisiana Governor Games in June, Where Dee Dee and Lavoxkeia medaled in two events and Gabby won the Bantam Girls 800m Run in a what was a very <a href="http://youtu.be/ql37G90WwFE">exciting race</a>.</p>

</a><a href="http://texasstallions.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/dsc_0669.jpg"><img class="alignleft" title="DSC_0669" src="http://texasstallions.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/dsc_0669.jpg?w=300&#038;h=182" alt="Youth Cross Country" width="300" height="182" /></a>Spring, TX – (August 7, 2011) Directors of the Texas Stallions Track Club announced plans for its 2011 <a href="http://www.texasstallions.org" target="_blank">Cross Country</a> Season, which will kick-off on August 29 in training for the 2011 USATF Gulf Association Cross Country Championship in November.</p>
<p>“This is the Stallions first time venturing into cross country”, said Coach Lavoxkeia Carnes, “but we hope to continue to educate our youth on the importance of fitness and how running can help them achieve their goals”.</p>
<p>Registration is now open for Texas Stallions Track Club Fall Running Program and can be completed online at <a href="http://www.texasstallions.org/">www.texasstallions.org</a>. The Stallions Cross Country program is targeted toward youth ages 6 – 11, but open to youth up to age 18. For more information, call (832) 415-0568. Registration ends on October 10, 2011 and is limited to 50 participants, so register early!</p>
<p>Join us and go running with your friends. This team running program is aimed at getting kids outside and into a healthy environment, with practices two-three times a week and two meets per month on Sunday afternoons. Distances will be appropriate for the age of the runner.</p>
<p>Registration is on a first come, first served basis, and all age divisions have limited space. The registration deadline is September 19. Late registrations may be accepted until October 6, 2011 based on availability. The Club cannot guarantee entry into program for registrations received after the deadline. <p>The Club is also seeking volunteer coaches for its Youth Cross Country and Track and Field Programs. The Texas Stallions Track Club certifies all coaches through the USA Track and Field Association. Background checks will be conducted. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="mceTemp mceIEcenter" style="text-align:left;">Spring, TX, Sunday, April 24, 2011. The Texas Stallions were involved in their first meets of the Season—the Primary Championships, Visions, and Houston Heat track meets this month. Though the Stallions season is starting later than most, their start shows a lot of promise for the coming months.</div>
<p> The <a title="Texas Stallions Track Club Spring TX" href="http://www.texasstallions.org/" target="_blank">Stallions</a> opened up the Season with the Primary Championships with one of its returning members Nzinga Williams and a new member but already and experienced runner at 8 years of age, Lauren Robertson, taking away Top 3 finishes in all of their events. Nzinga took the Gold in the 100m, the silver in the Long Jump and a Bronze in the 400m. While Lauren took the Gold in the 400m, the Bronze in the 100m, and  silver in the 200m. Even our newest Primary Lady Stallion came away with a 5<sup>th</sup> place finish in the 400m, Miss Taejha Badal.</p>

<p>In our second meet of the season, we attended the 2011 Annual Visions Track Club Track and Field Meet, where the Midget Boys 4 x 800 meter relay (Martinez, Joseph, Robertson, Troy, Hinote, John, and Goodman, Gabe) showed promise on their 1<sup>st</sup> outing bringing home a 3<sup>rd</sup> place finish.  The good times continued to roll for the guys as Troy Robertson won the Midget Boys 200m, Jacob Martinez won the Sub-Youth boys 1500m and Long Jump, and Oliver Scheerhorn won the Sub-Midget Boys Shot Put. Joseph Wiltz finished second in the Sub-Youth Boys Shot Put and Gabe Goodman finished 2<sup>nd</sup> in the Sub-Midget Boys 1500m their 1<sup>st</sup> time out, and returning runner Brendan Hurley finished 3<sup>rd</sup> in the 1500m. Our fourth place finishers were Troy Robertson Midget Boys 400m, and Joseph Martinez Sub-Midget Boys 1500m. Our fifth place finishers were Jacob Martinez in the Sub-Youth Boys 400m, and John Hinote in the Sub-Midget Boys 400m. Rounding out the top finishers are Joshua Martinez in the Sub-Midget Boys 1500m and Brendan Hurley in the Sub-Midget Boys 800m with 6<sup>th</sup> place finishes.</p>

<p>But that’s not all the Lady Stallions had to have their spotlight, with Lavoxkeia Carnes, winning the Bantam Girls 400m and Long Jump. Morgan Wiltz is continuing her success in the Sub-Midget 1500 Race Walk with a 2<sup>nd</sup> place finish. With 3<sup>rd</sup> place finishes are Morgan in the Sub-Midget Shot Put, Lauren Robertson in the Primary 400m, and Lavoxkeia in the Bantam 100m. Nzinga Willims finished 4<sup>th</sup> in Primary 100m, while Lauren in the Primary 100m and Taylor Jones in the Sub-Youth 1500m Run both finished 6<sup>th</sup>.</p>
<p>On yesterday the Stallions took the competition to USATF, with their participation at the JP Houston Heat Track Team On-Fire Track Meet. The 6 Finishers were:</p>

<p>Spring, TX, June 9, 2010<strong>.</strong> The <a href="http://www.texasstallions.org" target="_blank">Texas Stallions Track Club </a>hit the road this past weekend to participate in the 19th edition of the Louisiana Governor’s Games, sponsored by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports which sponsors the event, aims to expand sports and fitness programs to encourage healthy behavior for Louisiana youth.</p>
<p>The Stallions and forty-five other teams with more than 1,500 youth athletes competed in the youth track and field meet at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium. Children ages 4 to 18 years came from Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas to participate in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) sanctioned event hosted by Crescent City Track Club.</p>
<p>Seven boys and nine girls from the <a href="http://www.texasstallions.org" target="_blank">Stallions</a> stable took part in events that were held by age groups: PeeWee (6 &amp; under) Primary (7-8), Sub-Bantam (9), Bantam (10), Sub-Midget (11), Midget (12), Sub-Youth (13), Youth (14), Intermediate (15-16), and Young Men/Women (17-18). For the first time in its 19 year history the Governor Games presented Team Awards to the Boys and Girls teams with the most points. The Stallions Girls Team placed 11<sup>th</sup> earning 83 points with the throwers leading the way.</p>
<p>Custom medals of Gold, Silver and Bronze were awarded to the top-three finishers in each event by age group and points were awarded for the top eight toward the boys and girls team awards. The top-eight finishers were:</p>

<p>“This was the <a href="http://www.texasstallions.org" target="_blank">Stallions</a> first time participating in the event, and I am so pleased with their performance” said Head Coach Paul Durisseau, “and I am so grateful for our throws coaches James Carnes and Brad Franklin who have done a wonderful job with our throwers all of which are first-timers”. The <a href="http://www.texasstallions.org" target="_blank">Stallions</a> can be seen next Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the AAU Sanctioned event held by the Sonics Track Club. The meet will be held at Klein Collins Stadium, 20811 Ella Boulevard, Spring, Texas 77388 at 8:30 am.</p>

<p>The <a href="http://texasstallions.teampages.com" target="_blank">Texas Stallions Track Club</a> will be having a Parent and General Meeting on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 6:30pm at Denny&#8217;s Restaurant (Meeting Room) located at 6504 FM 2920, SPRING, TX 77379.</p>
<p>It is very important that you attend if your athlete is already registered or plans to register with our club this season. We will discuss important information pertaining to the season and provide you the opportunity to have any questions you may have answered.</p>
<p>Our regular registration period ends on March 15, 2010. Paying your deposit prior to March 15, 2010 locks in your rate. Late registration is $150 and begins on March 16, 2010.</p>

<p>The <a title="spring texas youth track and field" href="http://texasstallions.teampages.com" target="_blank">Texas Stallions Track Club</a> is a non-profit organization that is sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Gulf Association and the USA Track and Field (USATF) Gulf Association youth track programs for boys and girls from ages 6 to 18 years old. Our track club is dedicated to the development of youth track and field athletes in the North Houston area. Our objectives are: to challenge our youth through track and field, and to strive for excellence in every life endeavor; to teach fundamental track and field principles that will equip youth athletes with the skills to compete on a national level; To develop the minds and bodies for future leadership athletic training and discipline; and to develop a spirit of competitiveness that will foster a desire to always strive for excellence. <p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-134" title="Lavoxkeia-sml" src="http://texasstallions.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/lavoxkeia-sml.jpg?w=202&#038;h=261" alt="Lavoxkeia-sml" width="202" height="261" /><a title="spring-klein online" href="http://www.explorespring.com" target="_blank">Spring, TX</a>, August 20, 2009. – The Texas Stallions Youth Track Club ended its Track and Field season on a high note.  While no medals were earned this year at the Amateur Athletic Union’s (AAU) Junior Olympics, one athlete was named a <strong>National Elite Youth All American</strong> and three athletes were named to <strong>National Elite Youth Honor Roll</strong>. “These accomplishments are impressive in that the entire Stallion’s Junior Olympic team and National Youth Elite Ranking System selections are first time track and field competitors” said Assistant Coach Lavoxkeia Carnes, “these athletes are among the best of the best and are ranked against all track and field athletes in their age group in the AAU, USA Track &amp; Field (USATF), and CYO”.</p>
<p>Moines IA where 8,199 athletes representing 42 states and Washington D.C. were in attendance.  The Stallions Junior Olympic team consisted of Brittany Collins, Christopher Collins, Freddie Moore, Harrison Moore, LaKayla LaFrance, Lamont Grow, and Lavoxkeia Carnes.    </p>
<p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-135" title="2009jro-Lamont-sml" src="http://texasstallions.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/2009jro-lamont-sml.jpg?w=190&#038;h=314" alt="2009jro-Lamont-sml" width="190" height="314" />“I&#8217;m pleased with the way all of our athlete’s competed. They worked hard and gave everything they had. This was a new experience for all of them. I am so proud of them. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish next year!” said, Head Coach Paul Durisseau.</p>
<p>All American Lavoxkeia Carnes, lead the team by finishing 10<sup>th</sup> in the Primary Girls 400m Dash with a personal best of 1:11.68. Lavoxkeia was also named on the Honor Roll in the Long Jump for her regional record-breaking jump of 11’4.25”. Harrison Moore a primary boy finished 13<sup>th</sup> in Long Jump at the Junior Olympics, was named on the Honor Roll for his Gold Medal jump of 11’11.75” at the Regional Championships in July.  Midget girl, Zhanna Brooks, qualified for the Junior Olympics, but did not compete was also named on the Honor Roll in the 1500m Race Walk for her debuting race at district with a time of 10:33.26.</p>

<a title="Spring tx news" href="http://www.explorespring.com" target="_blank">Spring, TX</a>, July 14, 2009. – Junior Olympic spots were up for grabs as the top athletes from the Gulf Coast Region competed July 10 and 11 in the Area 13 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympics (JO) National Qualifier at Klein Memorial Stadium. Athletes age 5 – 18 competed in various track and field events, with the top six in each event and age group earning awards and the top four advancing to the Junior Olympics.</p>
<p>Fourteen athletes represented the Texas Stallions this weekend, with eight qualifying for the Junior Olympics. Spring residents Jonathan Carnes, Ahmad Cummings, Harrison Moore, Christopher Ward, Kaylan Harris, Freddie Moore, Alexander Brooks, Christopher Collins, Jarius Chevalier, Lamont Grow, Lavoxkeia Carnes, LaMika LaFrance, Brittany Collins, and LaKayla LaFrance represented the Stallions well in the National Qualifier.<br />

<div class="mceTemp mceIEcenter" style="text-align:left;">Lavoxkeia Carnes earned one gold and two silver medals in all of her events. She is the regional champion in the primary girls 400m dash and silver medalist in the Long Jump and 100m Dash. Her jump of 11’4.25” broke the regional record with a margin of only .25” separating her from the gold medal. Showing dominance in the Primary Boy division is Harrison Moore. Harrison took the gold medal and is the regional champion in two of his three events, the Long Jump and 100m Dash.</div>
<p>Also advancing to the Junior Olympics are midget boy, Freddie Moore in both of his events placing 4th in the discus throw and the shot put; Sub-youth girl Brittany Collins is the silver medalist in the 800m run; Youth girl LaKayla LaFrance with a silver and bronze medalist in the 200m Hurdles and 100m Hurdles, respectively; Youth boy Alexander Brooks with a 4th place finish in the 800m run; and Intermediate boys Christopher Collins is the bronze medalist in the 2000m Steeplechase and Lamont Grow is the bronze medalist in the long jump.</p>
<p>Finishing in the top six is LaMika LaFrance with a 5th place finish in the midget girls 400m Dash, in what proved to be one of the closest races of the championship, with only a fraction of a second separating each of the top six places in the midget girls 400m. Also, Zhanna Brooks who previously advanced in June’s multi-event qualifier.</p>
<p>“I am so proud of our athlete’s” said Head Coach Paul Durisseau, “their hard work and dedication has truly paid off”.</p>
<p>The Texas Stallions Junior Olympians will be traveling to Des Moines, IA to compete in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympics, July 27 &#8211; August 8, 2009.</p>

<p><a title="Spring TX" href="http://www.explorespring.com" target="_blank"></a>Spring, TX, July 5, 2009<strong>.</strong> – <a title="spring klein youth track" href="http://www.teampages.com/teams/22780" target="_blank">Texas Stallions Track Club</a> continued to shine at the Visions Track Club meet Saturday, June 27 by accruing 12 top-six finishes, demonstrating readiness for this weekend’s regional meet. The Stallions top–six results include: </p>
<p><strong>Girls</strong></p>
<p> 100m: Primary – 1<sup>st</sup> – Lavoxkeia Carnes; Midget – 5<sup>th</sup> – LaMika LaFrance</p>
<p> 800m: Midget – 4<sup>th</sup> &#8211; LaMika LaFrance</p>
<p> 100m Hurdles: Youth &#8211; 1<sup>st</sup> &#8211; LaKayla LaFrance</p>
<p> 400m: Primary – 1<sup>st</sup> – Lavoxkeia Carnes</p>

<p> The Visions Track Meet was the final competition to be held going into the Amateur Athletic Union Regional Junior Olympics Qualifier to be held Friday July 10 &amp; 11.  With one team member already through, Coach Durisseau is confident the rest of the Stallions will perform well and join Zhanna at the Junior Olympics in August.</p>

<p>Zhanna Brooks of the Spring-Klein based Texas Stallions Youth Track Club advances to Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics </p>
<p><a title="spring tx online" href="http://www.explorespring.com" target="_blank">Spring, TX</a>, June 26, 2009<strong>.</strong> – In only her second competition ever in the 1500 Race Walk, Spring resident Zhanna Brooks placed 3<sup>rd</sup> in the Area 13 <a href="http://www.aausports.org" target="_blank">Amateur Athletic Union </a>(AAU) Regional Qualifier.</p>
<p>“Zhanna’s accomplishment is remarkable in that it is only her second time competing in the event and she is only the second member in the Texas Stallions Youth Track Club history to advance to the JO’s in the race walk” said Head Coach Paul Durisseau.</p>
<p>The only member of the Stallions Track Club to compete in the first half the regional meet, Zhanna has set an exciting start for the Team.</p>
<p>The balance of the Stallions will compete in the Regional Qualifier that will be continued on July 10 &amp; 11<sup>th</sup>.</p>
