The club will sponsor several fundraising events throughout the season. The team fundraisers are mandatory for ALL athletes or you can do a buyout for $150.00. We encourage all athletes to participate in fundraising events to promote teamwork and team spirit.
Spikes and Running Shoes
Athletes must train in running shoes and compete in spikes. Spikes may be purchased from retail sports stores such as Academy, Sports Authority, Eastbay & Fleet Feet. Fleet Feet stores offer a 10% discount for spikes for youth club athletes. No basketball shoes for training are allowed.
Parents are asked to attend parent meetings held periodically. A mandatory travel meeting will be held prior to competition for regional and national meets. Topics may include relay selection, event participation, travel costs, athlete safety, etc. These meetings are brief, but important.
Volunteers are needed! Areas where you can help: registration, fund raising, team manager, coaching, and chaperoning.
Each year we travel to the AAU National Junior Olympics. Recent trips include New Orleans, Norfolk (VA) and Knoxville. Parents are responsible for all travel planning and costs. The Stallions staff may coordinate discounted travel arrangements based on the number of participants.
