In the last regular track meet of the season, the Texas Stallions continue to shine
Spring, TX, July 5, 2009. – Texas Stallions Track Club continued to shine at the Visions Track Club meet Saturday, June 27 by accruing 12 top-six finishes, demonstrating readiness for this weekend’s regional meet. The Stallions top–six results include:
Girls
100m: Primary – 1st – Lavoxkeia Carnes; Midget – 5th – LaMika LaFrance
800m: Midget – 4th – LaMika LaFrance
100m Hurdles: Youth – 1st – LaKayla LaFrance
400m: Primary – 1st – Lavoxkeia Carnes
1500m Race Walk: Midget – 2nd – Zhanna Brooks
1500m: Midget – 5th – Zhanna Brooks
Long Jump: Youth – 1st – LaKayla Lafrance

Boys
800m: Midget – 5th – Kaylan Harris

Long Jump: Primary – 1st – Harrison Moore
Shot Put: Midget – 4th – Freddie Moore
The Visions Track Meet was the final competition to be held going into the Amateur Athletic Union Regional Junior Olympics Qualifier to be held Friday July 10 & 11. With one team member already through, Coach Durisseau is confident the rest of the Stallions will perform well and join Zhanna at the Junior Olympics in August.

The Texas Stallions Track Club is a non-profit organization that is sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Gulf Association and the USA Track and Field (USATF) Gulf Association youth track programs for boys and girls from ages 6 to 18 years old. Our track club is dedicated to the development of youth track and field athletes in the North Houston area. Our objectives are: to challenge our youth through track and field, and to strive for excellence in every life endeavor; to teach fundamental track and field principles that will equip youth athletes with the skills to compete on a national level; To develop the minds and bodies for future leadership athletic training and discipline; and to develop a spirit of competitiveness that will foster a desire to always strive for excellence.
